I was first licensed May 16, 1967 as WN4FZP. I changed to Advanced Class on April 26, 1968 with the call sign WB4FZP. I had to remain as an Advanced Class for two years before I could take the Extra Class exam. I received my Extra Class on September 24, 1970 and sometime after 1976 decided to change my call to W4XW.
